“Shun Lee Catholic Secondary School and just comple”

I am a fresh graduate from Shun Lee Catholic Secondary School and just completed my HKDSE Exam. I have always think about my future, being a psychologist, a history-lover, a service-devoter in the society and generally finding my own path in my life. I am a devoted and active student in school, among a variety of services in school, being one of the committee members of Social Service Group is a role I treasure the most. Through being this position, I am not only learn about how to create enjoyable and joyful activities for the service target, but also knowing the difficulties and obstacles that the poverty and social vulnerable groups are facing. I observe people who come from different cultures and backgrounds, I try to understand why they think of those ways and the reasons and thoughts behind their actions and cultures. These experience allow me want to utilize it to further towards the field of Social Science and History in order to continue studying people’s mind and cultures. I like to figure out more different intriguing cultures of various countries. I have experienced study tours which are literally fasinating me. During staying in different countries, I learned that it is crucial for us to respect every cultures. When I went to study tour in Australia, I totally felt how big the contrast between the Eastern and Western cultures is, for instance, dietary cultures, parenting methods, educating ways, lifestyles or even the pastime activities . However, the nearby places actually do not mean our cultures are the same such as China, I experienced study tour in Mainland China, the study tour provided a precious opportunity for us to stay with Mainland China’s students during the trip, through interacting and culture communicating, I figure out the critical thinking between us are different. Under the different education methods, we think in different ways but the contrast can be co-exist by mutual respect. These also entirely stimulate me to know more about people’s thoughts and backgrounds of countries or even history in my future studying path. I love raising question. Why do various cultures directly influence people thoughts and actions, or even international relations? Why do people always think they have intuition and accurate sixth sense? These are the questions I have always insisted and I undoubtedly enjoy finding out their answers. Sometimes, I believe that it is not every question have a definite answer, especially if it related to human behaviour, ethnics, religious. However, I love thinking and we can have our own perspective after using our critical thinking and reading different authoritative researches. This is the reasons why I am interested in Social Science, Psychology as well as its systemic way to study people’s mind and further manipulating it in a decent way to learn about the society. I am a student who can work under stress while I know how to relax myself in methods, for example, reading novels and playing piano, they keep me become more optimistic and assist me to escape in another world and develop intellectual ability.
